Employee Spotlight

In honor of Women’s History Month, we wanted to highlight LaWanda Moore’s incredible leadership in our operations division. Starting back in 2010, her eleven years at UPholdings have been nothing short of amazing. She moved up quickly from an assistant manager to property manager eventually working her way up to Director of Business Systems.

Throughout her time here LaWanda has decreased the company’s overall spending, helped increase revenue, and structured the property managers within the portfolio. There was essentially no company-wide property management system in place before LaWanda. She structured the property management systems to ensure timely compliance monitoring and a clear chain of command for communicating emergencies that help properties run smoothly. Lawanda’s work has brought her across the entire Upholding portfolio.

LaWanda’s favorite part of her job is getting to help meet the needs of the tenants and ensuring the properties continue to be a safe and acceptable housing option for our residents. Since COVID-19 restrictions have started to loosen in the city of Chicago, LaWanda took the initiative to help set up a bingo event for our senior residents that have been vaccinated at Evergreen Tower I.

For this Women’s History Month and after a year like no other, we want to give a huge thanks to LaWanda Moore for all the amazing work that she has done. We cannot wait to see what she does next. Keep on rocking!

LaWanda Moore
