The 18-unit, two story building now has its fabricated stone and panel façade fully installed and the McShane Construction Company team is progressing rapidly on interior work. The apartments will feature large windows, open floor plans, and timeless finishes carefully selected by Cordogan, Clark & Associates architects and owner-manager Housing Opportunity Development Corporation. The community room will be a comfortable common area where neighbors can gather and interact. Heart’s Place will also feature the latest in design and amenities, incorporating energy-efficient appliances and systems, keyless entry doors, remote security monitoring, and app-based laundry systems. Once complete, the ten one-bedroom and eight two-bedroom apartments will house individuals and families living with disabilities and needing access to services, and will be a source of much-needed permanent supportive housing in Northwest Cook County.
